RUM ‘N’ COKE FLOAT RECIPE

The original ‘Coke Float’, or ‘Ice Cream Soda’, was invented by Robert McCay Green in Philadelphia, PA, in 1874 during the sesquicentennial celebration. The traditional story is that, on a particularly hot day, Mr Green ran out of cream for the flavoured sodas he was selling and used vanilla ice cream from a neighbour and invented a new drink. Our grown-up take on the old classic is a sure winner all year round!

Ingredients

100ml Coca Cola
50ml Rum (Spiced is best for this one!)
1 Ball of Vanilla Ice Cream
Cubed Ice

Instructions

Step 1 – Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.

Step 2 – Pour on the rum.

Step 3 – Top up with chilled Coca Cola.

Step 4 – Finish with a satisfying scoop of vanilla ice cream.
