Created by the English cocktail connoisseur, and world famous bartender, Dick Bradsell in 1984 at Fred’s Club in SoHo, London. The Bramble is considered to be one of the most significant gin cocktails of the last 50 years: it’s fantastically fruity with a delicately balanced flavour.


50ml London Dry Gin
25ml Fresh Lemon Juice
15ml Créme du Mûre
1tsp Caster Sugar
Crushed Ice
A Wedge of Lemon and a Blackberry to garnish


Step 1 – Add the gin, lemon juice and caster sugar to a short glass and stir.

Step 2 – Fill the glass with crushed ice.

Step 3 – Drizzle the berry liqueur over the top and watch it ‘marble’ through the drink.

Step 4 – Top up with more crushed ice, then garnish with the blackberry and wedge of fresh lemon.
